Masithokoze is a Zulu word that simply means "Let us have fun"; as the word explain itself; the blog is about fun and entertainment. We as Masithokoze identified an opportunity of informing the and educating our target market about what they need to know and relating to their different life styles; because we believe that our target market are starving for youth related news.

The blog is tageted at the young adults from the age of 18 to 30; because it mostly touches issues that are affecting them on their daily basis; for example; issues like; HIV-AIDS; DRUGS and more others. We also cover stories of different celebrities because we know that our target market are keen to know about what is happening on their fovourite celebrities; because some of them young (adults) are choosing the same celebs as their role models.As the Masithokoze we are trying by all means to put something that will build them and keep their minds busy.

I AM COMFORTABLE

I have been bothered by the way our women dresses nowadays.They say that they keep up with time,but the problem is that they are not comfortable about what they are wearing and they claim they are.

I remember one day, I took a taxi to town, I do not know if it was bad or good luck, a taxi stop other lady, when she jump's in she came straight were I was sitting at the back sit of a taxi. The young lady was wearing a black short skirt of leather, guess what, she was pulling the skirt until we reach our destination, are we allowed to call that comfortable?. According to me that's not it. What I personally think is that, the way they dress they forcefully demand attention. You will hear them say ''I am not dressing for someone else I am dressing for me'', but she knows that guys the way she has dressed guys will react.



What I do not like about them(Girls) they are so quick to judge guy's dress code, for example, some will say I hate Pantsula's dress code because it's untidy or some will say I hate hip-hop dress code because it seems like they do not know their size.

My advice to the sisters would be, a guy wont marry someone who's doing body marketing to guys, so ladies we understand you try to keep up with time,but please cover up a bit.

S A SISTERS AND FOREIGN BROTHERS

SOUTH AFRICAN guys do not have a T.L.C ladies, thats what some of the South African ladies are sayinga bout South african guys , they prefere foreign brothers than the South African brothers. What I like about South Africa you have that right to do things according to your feel.

The thing that I am sure about is that, they can go and fall with our African brothers, but they must not say that we can't treat them good. My question to them is "What is treating good?", because we can traet them in a way that they want to treated, but when they reciprocate on what I am doing for her. The bad thing about them is, because I am a men I have to carry my load and carry hers too, thats highly impossible sisters.

Sisters when we are in this thing called "love" it is not about one party, it is about all parties equaly. What I am trying to bring to the fore, is that I am going to take you out to the expensive resturants or buy you expensive gifts. If I always do that, which means there is no future for the relationship.

THE FUTURE

Today I will be talking about the future.We hear people everyday talking about a better future.The question is, what is future?,each person have his/her own definition of better life.So I personally define future as ''a better life an individual wants to live in future''

I take future as a promised land were each person is dreaming to be,but the bad thing is that you wont be to go through if you have not worked for it,same applies to your future if you don't work for it now forget about better life in the future. Many people are giving on their future with the reason that if you build your future step by step you will end archieving less in life.But me I disagree with that,because when you live a fast life you do things without proper planning and the end have you remain with nothing to show.

If we plan our lives accordingly we will never no matter how strong the odds are we will rise above them.The only thing that makes people fail on their future is because they lack passion and never give up push of what they need to archieve.Problems are tools that are meant to fix to become a strong person in life.

THE MAN WAS BORN IN ERMELO AND WENT TO LIVE WITH HIS GRANNY IN NEWCASTLE AND HE STUDIED THERE.MR DUBE HIS MUSIC CAREER STARTED IN THE 80's AND HE STARTED SINGING UMBHAQHANGA AND LATER CHANGED TO REGGAE MUSIC.THE GUY WAS KNOWN IN AFRICAN MUSIC BECAUSE OF THE MESSAGE IN MUSIC.

MISLEADING CELEBS OF SA

Today I want to talk about the misleading celebs of our contry about HIV & AIDS.This celebs are being chosen by the young stars as their life guiders,but they take the full reponsability to do so.

The reason I'm concerned about them is that,last month I read an article about one of MALAIKA GROUP MEMBER that he suffering from HIV-AIDS,but when he was asked if is that true,he said there is no such thing,is just suffering from TB.Then few days after the reports,it was reported that his ex-girl has past on from AIDS. When he was contacted about these;he said the reporters must leave him alone.If we can look back each year we lose a celebrity,but those are same people when they promoting their albums in the media,they will tell us to abstain or condomise,but everyday we read about them demonstrating bad acts to the public.

If my memory serve me well we lost three celebs, first it was Khabzela(Y-fm),the second one was Brenda Fassie(musician) and the last one was Jabu Sithole(weather man & musician).The question is must we take their advices or not because they advice us, also die of Aids.

THE WOMEN IN MEDIA

When we talk about successfull woman in the world of media we are talking about Khanyi Dhlomo.On the 14th of October 2007 I was reading a City Press copy (Business Side),I came across of Khanyi Dhlomo,I was tempted to read it.

Khanyi will be launching her new women magazines,Destiny,the magazine will be in stores as from this week.thats we want from our women in media,not work for someone for the rest of your life.Khanyi is a very strong focus woman who knows what she wants.We want need more women like her.When we talk about indepedant woman,we talking about woman like Khanyi Dhlope who don't just say the word but no evidence for what their saying.What I like about this woman's personality is that she is not afraid to take chancnes,she brings me to my motto that says "life is about taking chances", because I fully believe that when you are afraid to start something sorry you will never make it .

I pray for our women in media to take charge of the media world,the men there need a challenge and the chances are openning up.It is high time for our women to open challenging businesses.They must stop opening hair salons.The qeen of media Khanyi is making her eternal mark in the print media.The interesting thing about her she took her time and gain all the expirience she needed.Khanyi will be leading the editorial and administrative team with her assistant.

TO BE A GOOD RADIO PERSONALITY

Radio is medium that people enjoy to listen when they are relaxing or working where ever they are,so to be a good radio personality you need to follow these steps:



1. YOU must know what your listeners

2. Listen to your listeners

3. Put your listeners first

4. Maintain consistence

5. Do not loose yourself, be original

6. Ability to think solve problems.

Listeners like see that element of originality and even you will be comfortable of what you are doing. If I may make one example with one dj who had a good element originality, that was the late dj Khabzela from Y-fm.That guy had no matric but he mananged to take attract more listeners than any other dj in the country,that supports the point of being original. The other thing about that guy is that, he had no matric certificate but he mananged to excel over the guys who had diplomas degrees because he was speaking the language of his listeners.



Make sure that your show is not predictable to your listeners,come up with something new by so doing your listeners will become more involved with your show, even though if you see that you run out of ideas invite them they will help.Do you know that listeners believe that deejays know everything, so be well informed about what is happening around you

THE RIP OF KWAITO

South Africa expirienced its first democracy in the year of 1994 and the new baby called Kwaito was born also in 1994 after the democracy. I still remember the artist like Skeezo,Mdu,Arthur and groups like New School,Chiskop e.t.c. Those were the greatest time of Kwaito music that was proudly South African genre.



Last month we were celebrating the cultural month, but I haven't had that there is a celebration of Kwaito music.I don't know may be I am left behind there was a celebration like that on the cultural month.The still existing stars of Kwaito music are not celebrated, for example the long and still existing Kwaito group Trompies has been in the industry releasing hit songs, but they haven't won even one award ever since.



That on its own tells me that as South Africans we are not proud about ourselves,we put ourselves before other people,we have an excuse of saying that the music have no message,according to me Kwaito is the best compared to House music and layed with djs with no creativity who chop other peoples songs.If in Kwaito there is no message,thats our responsibility to fix it.It will be unfair

THE FEMALE DEEJAYS

Radio is a most interesting medium in the broadcasting media.The best thing about it, is that you continue with your job while continuing doing your work,it does not require the hundred percent attention compare to television.

The downfall of the medium is the inclusion of too much female deejay to host the most of the shows,while they don't have that drive to be on the radio.If we can conduct a survey about poor female djs behind the mic' I sure that I will that.If we can check now listeners has immigrated to new media (listening discs) rather than tune in to radio.
Someone can say I am a discriminating the women against them,that's not true, if I may give you an example, '' Justice Ramohlola of former breakfast host on Metro fm resigned due to internal differences,Azania Ndoro was given a chance to host the breakfast show.The first words she said was gues what " the first woman to host a breakfast show" every body knows that, we want creativity please.

The only way of bringing the spark of radio is to reduce the number of female deejays and put them on the news department and to other office work and the work to the masters of radio(male deejays).I know it will be a bitter pill to swallow but thats true. If I may ask "who in the female deejays can compete with Eddie Zondi of Metro fm" mhh I think I know whats the respond "thats unfair how can".Sisters no hard feelings but radio require a talent not only your English.

TRIBUTE TO DIE BOKKE

THE SOUTH AFRICAN TOP RUGBY SQUAD HAS MADE US PROUD BY BEATING ARGENTINA 37- 16 ON THE SEMI FINAL YESTERDAY IN FRANCE. THE RUGBY SQUAD HAS NEVER BEEN BEATEN IN THIS YEAR'S IRB RUGBY WORLD AND THEY ARE THE FAVOURITES TO WIN THE WORLD CUP.

THE SQUAD HAS THIS CUP IN 1996 WHILE MADIBA WAS STILL A PRESIDENT AND THE 89 YEARS OLD WORLD HERO HAS BEEN INVITED BY AMABOKOBOKO TO COME INJECT THEM WITH MADIBA MAGIC.

NO AIR PLAY FOR DJ SBU

One of the well known dj in the entertainment industry;dj SBU has just released his new album "Y-lens vol 2" last week. The bad thing about is that; one the Durban's radio station has refused to give the popular dj an air play.

When the radio station mananger was asked why not the popular dj will not get an airplay; she responded by saying; the dj will not get an airplay because he is on the side of their competitor (ukhozi fm).The dj when was aked about these;he just said"he doesn't mind because other stations are playing it.

But peolpe are being denied good food cooked for the festive season.But the station will suffer alose of some its listeners who also are fains of dj Sbu. I hope the statoin will change its mind for the sake of the listeners of Durban.

WHAT IS GOODLIFE?

WHAT IS LIFE? This is a question question I ask myself everyday when I wake up in the morning, no answers. But as a black African man I came with my own interpretation.



My interpretation is "work hard in life and live a good life"because in life everyone is running his or her own race. As people God gave us same ours(24-hours) a day, same mind to think etc. But what is unique about it is that, we were given different unique gifts that will take to better life. A better life is not about living a millionair's life, but is about being happy about yourself. I always ask myself about those guys who got their wealth through corruption or robbery, are they enjoying their ''Goodlife'', because I think the guilty consience is always reminding them of how they got their wealth.

But what as people do not understand is that, to have a good, you have to face storms along your awy up to your good life and the other let us keep it mind that we can't archieve our goals on the same day. We as people need to be fair and honest to ourselves, because what I know for a fact is that we can't cheat life.

A ROLE MODELS

What is a role model?a role model is a individual you look at in a career you want to follow.But as people we can interprete it in various ways,for example, someone can say "a role is everything good,but did you know that thugs are also role models,but before choosing a role model be sure about what you want in life.

Someone may ask him or herself how to go about choosing a role model. Before choosing a role model take time and ask yourself what you want.If I may give you an example,one of our well known celebrities were on media for bad conducts,for example,Zola 7,was on the media for abusing his girlfriend (mother of his child) and on the other side he is helping people to achieve their goals in three days.

So the big question is after hearing all these about your role model,"are you going stick with your role model or forget about him or her or you understand that he or she a human being. When choosing a role model you MUST expect both the good and the bad, on the other hand its up to you what YOU need.Brothers and sisters be what GOD sent you to be(original) and don't let anybody live your for you,be independent.The ball is in your.......
